Walter E. Bauke, President
Walter is a retired Optical Engineer and real estate investor. He was born in Berlin in 1930 and moved to Canada in the mid 1950’s, where he met and married his life partner, Barbara, in 1956. Over the next 60 years Walter and Barbara raised a family and had numerous adventures and raised six children, Robert, Denis, Erich, Charlotta, Walter D, and Leischen. Walter and Barbara eventually retired and settled in West Palm Beach. In 2006, Barbara was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s, and Walter took care of her at home, staying by her side until the day she passed away, in April 2012. Walter is active in West Palm Beach area support organizations for Alzheimer’s and blindness.
Charlotta A. Duffy
Secretary / Treasurer
Char has a B.S. in Economics from Georgetown and an MBA in accounting from Fordham University. She currently works as a Risk Manager for an international transportation company. She lives in Kansas City with her husband Terence, and together they have raised three children, Megan, Caitlin, and Andrew.
Denis Bauke
Vice President
Denis Bauke, currently works as a Vice President of Sales for an internationals Paper Company. He lives in Northern California and he and his wife Linda enjoy the Pacific Northwest and participating in their local non-profits. His daughter Molli lives and works in Vienna Austria and his son Zack is in college in the Illinois area. Denis enjoys wine tasting and visiting any kind of festival as well as visiting and traveling with his family at any opportunity he can.
Leischen Bauke
Vice President
Leischen has a MS degree in Environmental Quality Science from UAA and is a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) and a Certified Safety and Environmental Trainer (CET). She works on the Trans Alaska Pipeline as a Safety Professional and teaches at UAA as an adjunct professor. She is an active volunteer with the American Society of Safety Engineers and realizes the value of one’s time is just as important as giving funds to causes that one is passionate about. She loves living and working in Alaska and enjoys all that Alaska has to offer.
Robert G. Bauke
Director
Robert has BA, MA, and MBA degrees from Tulane University. A veteran of the US Army with combat duty in Iraq and Afghanistan, he currently lives in Massachusetts with his wife Diane and their three daughters. Robert works for Draper Labs and supports various local charities and neighbors with his time and construction skills. When time permits, he enjoys running, skiing, and traveling to experience local traditions.
Walter D. Bauke
Director
Walter D. served in the US military and is currently a chef in Kansas City. He graduated from Los Alamos High School and attended Bunker Hill Community College in Boston, MA. He is married to Ana and lives in Olathe Kansas.
